Thousands of police officers from across the county arrived on bicycles at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Tuesday afternoon with the Police Unity Tour as part of National Police Week.
The members of the Unity Tour raised $1,997,000 for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty.
The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Museum.
