The Oklahoma City Police Department released body camera footage of a fatal shooting involving officers and a knife-wielding suspect earlier this month.
The incident happened Oct. 16 when police responded to a stabbing, KOCO-TV reports. Once at the scene, the officers encountered a man with a knife who refused several commands to drop the weapon.
Police used a Taser twice on the suspect, who tried to pull off the wires as he turned and walked toward officers while still brandishing the knife. That's when two officers opened fire with their service weapons.
The suspect was struck by the gunfire, and officers immediately began performing life-saving measures on him. He was rushed to the hospital, where he died.
The stabbing victim also was taken to the hospital and was treated and released.
The shooing is under investigation, and the two officers involved in the shooting have been placed on paid administrative leave.
