Jan. 18, 2024

NORTH HAVEN, CT – Gain a competitive edge with the new line of Mossberg 940 Pro Sporting 12-gauge autoloading shotguns. With their user-adjustable stocks for length-of-pull, cast, and drop; durable soft-shooting gas-operating systems; and design features for speed and accuracy, these 940 Pro shotguns will help you shatter the competition. Available in a full-size model with walnut stock and forend and a shorter Super Bantam™ synthetic version.

Based on Mossberg’s proven 940 autoloading platform, the 940 Pro Sporting has a gas system that may run up to 1,500 rounds before cleaning and will cycle factory-manufactured 2.75 or 3-inch ammunition, 1 oz or greater. Internal parts (gas piston, magazine tube, hammer, and sear) feature nickel boron-coating and extra finishing for corrosion resistance and reliable performance. And the barrel-making process aligns point-of-aim and point-of-impact for consistency.

For efficiency, the loading port is oversized and beveled; the redesigned elevator and shell catch provide pinch-free loading into the magazine tube; and the anodized follower has an orange finish for ease of visibility. Combined with the oversized, contoured charging handle and paddle-style bolt release, the 940 Pro Sporting is easy to operate even under the pressure of competition.

940 Pro Sporting Walnut (85147) – This full-size 940 Pro Sporting shotgun features a handsome walnut stock and forend with cream finish. The stock is user-adjustable for length-of-pull (13 – 14.25 inches) and adjustable for cast and drop, using the incremental stock shims. Both the slim, ergonomic forend and stock feature Mossberg’s aggressive signature texturing. Rounding out this competition-ready autoloader are 30-inch vent rib barrel with three extended Briley™ choke tubes (Skeet, Modified, and Improved Cylinder); HIVIZ® CompSight® front fiber optic sight; blue anodized magazine tube cap and charging handle; and the 940 Pro logo emblazed on the receiver. MSRP: $1,225

940 Pro Sporting Super Bantam (85159) - Featuring a black synthetic stock adjustable for length-of-pull (12.5 – 14.25 inches) using incremental stock shims and adjustability for drop and cast, this 940 Pro allows for a custom fit. The forend features a slim profile, and both stock and forend have Mossberg’s signature texturing for a secure grip. Completing this package is a 26-inch vent rib barrel equipped with three extended Briley choke tubes (Skeet, Modified, and Improved Cylinder) and is topped with a HIVIZ CompSight front fiber optic sight; blue anodized magazine tube cap and charging handle; and the 940 Pro logo emblazed on the receiver. MSRP: $1,050
