Ward Diesel Filter's NO SMOKE exhaust removal system now provides clean emissions on-scene. With the flip of a switch, the NO SMOKE over-ride switch activates the emission control system. For ambulances in front of hospital doors, the system can be activated as to keep the hazardous, nuisance soot from the hospital and emergency personnel as well as patients. Typically ambulances are required to shut off the vehicle in front of hospital doors. Complaints of hazardous exhaust, nuisance soot by ambulances in front of hospitals is common. Shutting off the vehicle is not a viable option for those in cold winter states or hot weather states. The on-scene capability is an additional feature for the main function - "source capture" exhaust removal inside the structure.
