The progressive suburban city of La Vista, NE (population 18,600) is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Police Officer. The La Vista Police Department is a well-respected and modern full service law enforcement agency that embraces a community policing philosophy. Upon completion of the selection process an eligibility list will be certified for future openings. The City of La Vista offers an excellent wage and benefit package as well as professional growth opportunities. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED; some college preferred. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age by graduation from Police Academy (no upper age requirements), possess a valid Driver's License by hire date, U.S. citizen, no felony convictions or a dishonorable discharge from military service. Salary range $39,603 to $56,430.
