Day One – Technical Photography (IM304) The principles of digital imaging will be explained and demonstrated. Participants will create images to apply techniques discussed in class. Participants should be familiar with the operation of their digital camera prior to attending the course. Day Two – Advanced Accident Site Photography (IM306) Participants will learn how to capture the most important and useful images while documenting an accident site. Through the use of methods described in this course, participants will expose their own images in various photographic disciplines and then share in critique sessions offering constructive observations for improvement. Course format will be 4 - 5 hours of interactive instruction and demonstration, and 2 - 3 hours of practical exercises. Day Three – Digital Image Processing (IM307) Processing and storing of images for current and archival use in a variety of electronic formats. Discussion of generally accepted protocols for processing of images to enhance image clarity and information while retaining authenticity crucial for use as documentary evidence.

The Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) was established as a Defense Agency in May 2002 in response to the events of September 11, 2001, to provide an integrated capability of force protection services for more than 70,000 personnel working within the Pentagon Reservation and other delegated buildings in the National Capital Region. In addition to providing security and law enforcement for the Pentagon Reservation and the National Capital Region, PFPA is responsible for implementing and providing antiterrorism/force protection; and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) protection. U.S. Pentagon Police Officers/Agents are sworn federal officers, appointed under Title 10 Section 2674 of the United States Code. The officers/agents possess full Federal authority, as authorized by Section 2674, and receive initial training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia. The United States Pentagon Police is the principle law enforcement arm of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency. The mission of the U.S. Pentagon Police is to promote high quality law enforcement and security services, in order to provide a safe and orderly work environment for the United States Department of Defense community in the National Capital Region. The U.S. Pentagon Police has an assortment of interesting and rewarding career opportunities.
