The Council provides a national forum for RLEOs and law enforcement reserve programs to promote professionalism, the sharing of best practices, and promote networking among the Reserve Law Enforcement profession.

The Hinds County Sheriff's Reserves is a non-profit 501(c)(3)organization. The Reserve Unit is very active in Hinds County and is comprised of Reserve Deputies who work on a volunteer basis under the auspices of Sheriff Malcolm E.
