The AutoVu SharpX is the world’s smallest high-resolution license plate recognition (LPR) camera. The AutoVu SharpX automatically reads license plates, sends the collected information to the AutoVu Patroller software which is loaded on the in-vehicle laptop. The AutoVu patroller then compares the license plate information against selected databases and alerts officers of vehicles of interest. This mobile LPR solution is ideal for applications such as wanted vehicle and felon identification, post-crime data mining and information gathering. The AutoVu SharpX is capable of reading up to differential speeds over 200 MPH (320 km/h), across three lanes of traffic. It is so small, officers can mount it covertly inside their grill, or discretely underneath the light bar. And, it is so powerful, it can read thousands of plates per minute.
Standing at just 1.65 inches tall, the AutoVu SharpX is the smallest specialized high-resolution LPR camera on the market today. The AutoVu SharpX achieves the industry’s highest plate capture rates by providing two to three times higher resolution than other solutions. Higher resolution per plate image means better accuracy and improved readability in bad weather, with dirty or obstructed plates, or at difficult angles. Each AutoVu SharpX also comes with its own dedicated processor, ensuring that no matter how many cameras you install on your vehicle, they will all be working at their most optimal performance.
