The Schmeisser SLP-9 9mm is a striker-fired pistol. It’s special DARE System (Double Action Rapid Engagement) resets the firing pin after a 3mm release of the trigger. This allows fast precision taps after the first round fired in Double Action.
The SLP-9 allows for multiple trigger pulls in the event of a misfire saving valuable time in the event of a “hard primer” strike/misfire. A second striker action can be initiated by simply pulling the trigger again.
The bore axis of the Schmeisser SLP-9, 9mm is extremely low. This guarantees a felt recoil reduction and the fastest possible target acquisition after every round fired.
The barrel and slide are machined from solid stainless steel bars and undergo a special surface treatment to guarantee extreme hardness and corrosion resistance. All remaining metal parts within the system are also treated with special anti-friction and anti-corrosion processes.
This allows Schmeisser to give an extended 50,000 rounds guarantee on all main parts of the pistol.
The 17-round magazines, with capacity check indicators, are made of anti-corrosive steel with a special anti-friction coating and a high impact polymer floor-plate.
The ambidextrous magazine release catch can be pushed from either side allowing use for both left and right hand shooters.
The rigid and ergonomic polymer frame has a Picantinny rail to mount tactical lights and laser modules.
The slide rails are not molded into the polymer, but have an integral steel inlay in order to make them resistant to any kind of frame flex. An enlarged trigger-guard allows for the use of gloves.
The Schmeisser SLP-9, 9mm is supplied standard with steel threedot sights. The extended extractor of the SLP-9 is a visual and tactile chamber indicator, showing if a cartridge is chambered or not.
An armorer’s pin-punch is integrated into the back of the strap to allow for in-the-field take-down, if needed, or to swap out different size back straps.
The Schmeisser SLP-9, 9mm can be adjusted to an individual shooter’s hand by changing the grip size. Each pistol set is delivered with three different back straps which can be mounted using the built-in armorers tool. Back straps are provided in small, medium and large sizes and change the trigger-distance (from trigger point to the beaver-tail). The pistol is outfitted standard in size large.
