DETROIT --
Early Sunday morning, a Detroit Police officer was hit by a car driving the wrong way in Greektown.
The officer was on foot when the driver hit him in a gray Ford Focus, police said. He was driving the wrong way on St. Antoine Street in front of Greektown Casino.
After hitting the officer, the driver then turned the wrong way on Monroe Street, police said. He was arrested.
The officer is in serious condition at an area hospital.
It's unclear at this time if alcohol was a factor or what charges the driver will face.
