February 2, 2023

Good morning. Welcome to February.

As this newsletter is prepared, the nation has just learned that Punxsutawney Phil - the infamous groundhog in a town by the same name - did not see his shadow, thereby predicting six weeks until spring. Given the number of severe cold fronts that have moved through our nation, even causing frozen conditions in southern Texas, I think we'll all be happy to see spring sooner than later. Just remember: spring brings an increase in outdoor crimes and the beginning of escalation in camping fires, motorcycle accidents, etc. Plan accordingly.

Stay safe!
