Welcome to May 2023—National Police Week and a missing spring?

This year was one of the odd years wherein the Candlelight Vigil actually happened outside of Police Week; preceding it over the weekend. As usual, Police Week started on Mother's Day, and I send out my condolences to every mother who has lost a husband, child, parent, sibling or other relative in the line of duty. The 15th was National Peace Officers' Memorial Day, and I hope we all took a few moments to remember the fallen, recommitting ourselves to doing the job as best we can while managing risk equally so that we may go home at the end of our shift.

Stay safe. Stay frosty.

—Lt. Frank Borelli
