Good morning. Welcome to July.
July is typically one of the two hottest months each year. As it's the summer, we love to put officers out where they can be face-to-face with the citizens they serve. That means bicycle patrols, foot patrols, beach patrols, etc.
Remember that modified uniforms are mandatory, as are breaks and hydration supplies. Heat injuries are real and none of us can afford any further reductions in manpower. Make sure your supervisors are focusing on caring for your troops.
The Fourth of July is behind us, but a long hot summer remains ahead.
Stay safe!
