Welcome to July! And happy Independence Day (a day early)!

Now that summer is in full swing, people will be out enjoying the great weather, from cookouts to street parties and other activities. Make sure your officers are prepared to handle the outdoor crowds, as well as the over-served individuals who can make them up. And make sure your officers remember: Hot temperatures can lead to hot tempers; keep your head on a swivel.

And while you and your officers are ensuring the public have a fun time during their summer activities, don't forget to find a little downtime for yourself. At the very least, take a few minutes to catch some rays.
