The Advisor communicates information – GPS coordinates, direction of impact and the probability of severe injuries – to help them prepare for the situation before they even reach the scene.

Stolen Vehicle Assistance can help in a vehicle theft situation. To help recover a stolen vehicle quicker and safer, OnStar Advisors can provide law enforcement with the vehicle’s speed as well as real-time location using GPS coordinates and aerial imagery. When police confirm conditions are safe, the Advisor can send a signal to gradually slow the vehicle, helping authorities apprehend the thief as well as avoid dangerous high-speed chases.

OnStar Emergency-Certified Advisors are specially trained to help in an emergency, and they are ready to help 24/7. Our Advisors are certified by the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch.
