Officer Down: Sergeant Gordon William Best

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH-On January 1, around 4 AM, Sergeant Best was on his way to respond to a call. The road conditions were wet and he lost control of his vehicle crashing into a utility pole. 

Sergeant Best was a motivated individual, and was with the North Myrtle Beach Public Safety Department for 8 years.  He began his career with the department in October of 2013, and was promoted to Sergeant in February of 2019.
