Officer Down: Sergeant Bruce Watson

TEXAS-Sergeant Bruce Watson was killed on his way home after leading a funeral procession. He had taken on the assignment as extra work.  A vehicle collided with the officer's motorcycle, and Sergeant Watson was airlifted to the hospital. He passed away later the hospital from his injuries. 

Sergeant Watson had been with the Harris County Sheriff's Office for 20 years. Recently, he worked in Patrol Support Services Bureau. He was a part of  other divisions such as major assaults and the family violence unit. Sergeant Watson worked on a high level and was a mentore to others.

During his career he also served as a Detention Sergeant in the Harris County Jail as well as a patrol field training officer and instructor and was a U.S. Army veteran where he was also a Sergeant.
