OHIO-Natural Resources Officer Jason Lagore, of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources -Division of State Parks and and Watercraft, died on February 23, 2021, of a medical emergency. Officer Lagore was conducting a search for a juvenile who had fallen through ice. During the initial incident, two young people had fallen through the ice, however, one was able to reach the shore.
Along with other first responders, Officer Lagore was looking for the juvenile who was still in the ice water. He suffered a medical emergency and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other individual who fell through the ice was located but also pronounced dead.
Officer Lagore served with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources-Division of State Parks and Watercraft for 15 years and is survived by his wife and sons.
