JWC Environmental offers the compact Channel Monster CMD 1205-AD, the ideal protector for small pump stations and influent channels. The unit's design is similar to current Channel Monster products, but employs a 5-inch diameter drum to direct solids into the cutting chamber, allowing installation in channels as narrow as 14 inches. This model performs at the level of taller 18-inch two-shafted grinders. It requires 33 percent fewer cutters than the 18-inch grinder. The drums are available with either 1/4 inch coil spacing or 1/4 perforations. The coil drums can be modified to have up to 70 percent open area for increased flow performance. A 3-Hp motor with a 29:1 reducer is standard, and an optional 5-Hp motor can be added for the toughest grinding installations.
