The town council of Latta, South Carolina is expected to vote on the firing of the town's police chief Thursday night.
Officials said that Police Chief Crystal Moore was fired on Sept. 8 after a series of reprimands were filed against her for not following town policies, according to The Florence Morning News.
Moore's attorney, Malissa Burnette, said that she should still hold her position as chief because the town council "failed to vote in open session on September 8 to terminate Chief Moore's employment."
Moore gained national attention in the 2014 when she said was rehired after claiming that she was fired from the Latta police force for being gay.
