North Little Rock Police Officer Tommy Norman, who has become known for connecting with his community and sharing his experiences on social media, has been told to stop posting while on duty.

A North Little Rock, Arkansas police officer known for connecting with his community and sharing his experiences on social media has been told to stop posting while on duty.

Officer Tommy Norman says that he was informed by his superiors that can not post photos or videos on his social media pages while wearing his badge, according to KTHV-TV.

"There's a policy in effect at the police department that prohibits you from posting on-duty that is now going to be enforced," he told his followers in a video posted Wednesday.

Norman received an outpouring of support recently after he helped a pregnant homeless woman and her baby while he was on-duty.

"Don't give up on me, I was born to do this," Norman said at the end of his video.
