Houston PD-Car Split in Half

A suspect crashed into a vehicle while trying to evade police.

HOUSTON, TX-During a pursuit, a suspect crashed into a vehicle while trying to evade police. This happened Monday and resulted in the injuries of two women and a driver of another vehicle.

The pursuit began when police witnessed a Mercedes run a red light and attempted to pull the car over. The driver fled, driving up to 100 mph. The pursuit lasted a few more minutes when the suspect crashed into a vehicle, cutting off the back end of that car. The suspect then attempted to run on foot but was caught by police.

The suspect will be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and evading in a motor vehicle.
