Louisiana Officer Killed in the Line of Duty

Louisiana police officer and EMT killed in the line of duty.

LOUISIANA-Marshall Waters was a part-time police officer for the Mangham Police Department and served as a full time EMT for the Northeast Louisiana Ambulance Service.  

Walters was shot,  October 17 on Hwy 425,  while responding to a traffic stop. The call came out as a suspected stolen vehicle.  Waters was shot in the abdomen and has had several surgeries since.The suspect was a 27-year-old taken into custody the day of the incident. 

In an effort to show support for Officer Waters, the Mangham Police Department set up a special bank account to accommodate donations towards his surgeries as well as a t-shirt fundraiser.

He died Wednesday, November 4.
