Officer Down: Reserve Deputy Sheriff Tom Hoobler

TEXAS-On July 17, 2021, Reserve Deputy Sheriff Tom Hoobler, of the Childress County Sheriff's Office, passed away. Reserve Deputy Hoobler suffered from a heart attack following directing traffic for a parade. The climate was extremely hot and once he finished directing traffic, he responded to a vehicle assist. While waiting for a tow truck to tow the vehicle he passed away in his patrol car. 

Reserve Deputy Hoobler served with the Childress County Sheriff's Office for eighteen years and is survived by his wife, children, brother, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
