Yesterday, on February 26, 2019, the I.U.P.A. has earned a unanimous vote for the Sarasota County Schools Police Officers Association to join the proud rank and file members that the I.U.P.A. vigorously represents. The vast majority of eligible officers voted and 100% of them cast their ballots for the I.U.P.A. to be their Union.

On these two consecutive victories, President Sam A. Cabral has stated, “The I.U.P.A. has just celebrated our 40th anniversary since signing our charter on February 20, 1979. During the last 40 years, we have been one of the most influential voices for law enforcement in the Political Arena and for the Labor and Law Enforcement Communities. We are pleased to continue to do so for the Broward Sheriff’s Office Deputies Association and to welcome the Sarasota County Schools Police Officers Association into the I.U.P.A. and to represent them as vigorously as we do all of our Members.”
