Master planned as the first phase of a public safety campus, the Town of Prosper’s new Police Station and Dispatch facility is at the center of the community’s public safety operations. Designed as a core facility, and with the intention of future expansion, the new station represents the pride and progress of the Town of Prosper.
The facility contains 9,000 SF of office area, dispatch space, a storm shelter, and adequate storage for evidence and property. In the spacious multi-purpose room both officers and town residents are able to use the space for official meetings, trainings, and seminars. In addition to the main programmatic spaces, the locker rooms and restrooms feature hardened walls that provide safety for the building patrons.
Responsible material selection provides an upscale appearance on a municipal budget and complements the aesthetic of the local community. The building exterior reflects its purpose, representing the strength and dedication of its occupants while presenting openness to the community. The interiors provide strategic layers of security and hardening, protecting both staff and public spaces from potential threats. Flooded with natural light from a tall clerestory, the interior finishes are warm and welcoming yet durable enough to withstand the daily rigors of police operations for decades to come.
