Project Description
The Bobby G. Kilgore Law Enforcement Center is a newly opened facility in Monroe, North Carolina. It serves as the headquarters for the Monroe Police Department.
The City of Monroe tasked Stewart-Cooper-Newell Architects with the design of their new Police Department Headquarters.
The multi-story building represents a 7-year multimillion dollar investment designed to centralize services and enhance community policing for the City of Monroe. The new Law Enforcement Center is approximately 33,500 square feet and is located at 450 W. Crowell St. across from City Hall, and next to the new Philip E. Bazemore Active Adult Center.
The new building includes more office space, secured communications & dispatch center, space for the Investigations division, a state-of-the-art security system, a physical fitness center for the officers, large conference rooms, and large training/community rooms.
