Man Walks into N.J. Police Station, Confesses to Killing His Wife

A 60-year-old man faces a count of murder and other charges after he allegedly showed up at East Brunswick police headquarters and admitted to killing his 58-year-old wife.

An East Brunswick, N.J. man is under arrest after walking into the police department and telling them he had killed his wife.

Ashraf Tawfik, 60, showed up at headquarters at 12:14 p.m. Friday and confessed, East Brunswick police said in a statement.

“Authorities responded to his residence on Yorktown Road and found Marsail Botros, 58, of East Brunswick, unresponsive,” the East Brunswick Police Department said. “Botros was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
