DSPatchNET is a digital multi-line, multi-operator console system that allows numerous console operators (dispatchers) to easily access each other or any of the radio and/or telephone circuits connected to the system. DSPatchNet, from Avtec Inc., offers a number of advances including VOIP consoles, disaster recovery capability, system redundancy, free seating and more, all integrating over a department's LAN/WAN.The three major components of the system are the central rack equipment, an ethernet network and the operator consoles. In most cases, DSPatchNET can be used over existing networking infrastructure. Requiring 100 BaseT Ethernet and Cat5 (or above) allows departments to easily connect DSPatchNET to existing equipment supporting their LAN/WAN.
