Designed for the law enforcement and fire/rescue communities, ORION MobileData provides easy access to a wide range of information from dispatch and driving directions to supplemental information on persons, incidents and locations. Officers in the field are alerted by audio signals and digital buttons that change color when messages or information arrives. Field units can run State/NCIC and ORION RMS queries, and receive CADStar dispatch information sent directly to laptops. The GIS product from Plant Equipment, Inc. is touch-screen compatible and features large, easy-to-use buttons on its interface. It features integrated messaging that allows units, and dispatch to communicate through instant messaging (IM). Importantly, MobileData's map-centric design allows users to locate buildings, streets, and other mission-critical information, in route.
