Futurecom Systems Group, ULC PDR8000 Portable Digital Repeater Feature Enhancement Now Supports Voting and Comparator Operation in Release 2
Denver, August 14, 2017: Futurecom Systems Group, ULC today announced the latest feature enhancement in their Release 2 of the PDR8000 - Portable Digital Repeater which now supports voting and comparator operation. Designed for Federal or other public safety agencies whose duties extend beyond traditional fixed RF coverage areas, the PDR8000 provides local on-scene P25 coverage and a V.24 wireline connection allowing connectivity to Motorola Solutions Inc. dispatch consoles anywhere in the world.
PDR8000 supports operation as part of a Voting/Comparator system, which is one of the methods used to provide an improved RF coverage solution. Voting solutions typically employ multiple receivers and a single transmitter. The PDR8000 can be set up to receive only, transmit only and or receive/transmit, supporting many conventional voting topologies including conventional voting single transmitter, site steering through channel selection, multicast and data steering.
"We have taken the PDR8000 to several Federal customer facilities for extensive testing and the feedback has been very positive. Based on the response from our customers voting and comparator support was our number one goal in Release 2 of the PDR8000” said Paul Halinaty, Futurecom President & CEO.
The voting and comparator operation support will be shipping with all PDR8000 orders by the end of Q3 2017.
