The efficient and portable Hailer sound system includes an integrated 50-watt amplifier that projects sound for up to half a mile, with a weatherproof horn speaker that produces wider sound dispersion than other available products. Using the included handheld, headset, or lapel microphone, officers can see and be seen as they give instructions. Simple controls for volume, tone, and an emergency siren give officers fast, fingertip control in changing conditions. The Hailer unit runs up to 200 hours on 10 "D" cell batteries or the optional, rechargeable AmpliVox NiCad battery pack.
