ROADBlock Software is a mapping based software, originally developed to assist Police with the DC Area Sniper Investigation. The software provides the following functionality: 1. Type in an address or a road intersection and have the software quickly map the area. 2. Provide the user with the location of Schools, Shopping Centers, parks and large facilities. 3. Allow the police to enter a perimeter distance around an event. 4. The software would compute the minimum number of road closures, which would "seal off" the area. 5. Provide a map displaying the most likely exit routes. 6. Rank road closures in order of importance, so as respondents arrive, most critical closures can be addressed first. The software is designed to run in field conditions on any Microsoft Windows compatible system. ROADBlock software self-contained and does not require any additional Mapping software or data.
