Xipix Inc. manufactures a line of video servers. The Series 2 Controller combines the functions of a digital recorder, a web server, and a programmable controller. The unit continually scans sequentially through up to 16 cameras and updates the images on the web page. (320X240 resolution) The device stores high resolution video images (640X480) at a minimum (upgradeable) rate of 20 frames per second on a hard drive. The unit maintains a rolling multiple day archive (up to 30 days) of the images. The unit detects motion in the video and only stores and transmits the changes using 48 programmable sensitivity zones for each camera. The programmable controller can control 48 programmable input/output lines through general purpose relays. These can be used for pan/tilt, sensors, lights. alarms, etc... The programmable controller can be accessed and controlled through a password protected web page.
