Dotworkz announces the D2 extreme environmental housing, providing heavy-duty protection to PTZ dome cameras from the rigors of outdoor use and physical damage, with the convenience of an on-board component mounting space. The D2 is compatible with 99 percent of analog and IP PTZ cameras, including models from Axis, Sony, Toshiba and Canon. Water and air-tight, the D2 assures cameras are kept within proper operating temperatures ranging from 30- to 90-degrees Fahrenheit, and is also offered with either the Dotzworkz Ring of Fire cold climate system for areas that reach below minus 20-degrees Fahrenheit and where snow and ice commonly collect; or with the Dotworkz Cooldome thermo-electric cooling system that protects the system up to 145-degrees Fahrenheit. The D2 measures 14.9-inches by 11.7-inches by 13.2-inches and has ample room to accommodate components such as routers, cell networks, hard drives, UPS WiMAX and Mesh hardware. The thermoplastic fiber construction will not rust or corrode and the .125-inch optical cell cast acrylic lower lens resists impact.
