MARS, a handheld thermal imager with target acquisition capabilities, is now available from Elbit Systems Electro-Optics Ltd. (Elop). MARS employs advanced un-cooled Microbolometer technology to facilitate extremely lightweight (2 kilograms including a rechargeable battery) and compact dimensions. Combined with low power consumption and an operating time of more than 8 hours, it is an optimal solution to a wide range of applications including, security and perimeter defense, infantry, scouts and special units, target acquisition for infantry commanders and more.
