On-air Segments Demonstrate Fast and Easy Classroom Lockdowns

Wales, WI (March 5, 2019) – Safe-Latch, the safety solution that helps lock down classrooms instantly, continues to make news for its innovation and simplicity in helping to secure classrooms and protect students and teachers.

Wisconsin CBS affiliate WDJT recently produced a Special Report on school security, featuring Safe-Latch as a company designing products to keep kids safe at school. The story, which can be viewed at https://cbs58.com/news/wisconsin-based-companies-designing-products-to-keep-kids-safe-at-school, shows the Safe-Latch product in action at Kettle Moraine Middle School, demonstrating its ease of use and convenience.

“We feel these news stories are providing real value to the education community,” said Nick Hoffman, Co-owner, Safe-Latch. “We want viewers to see that in a moment’s notice, without a key, the door can be locked from the inside – making classrooms safer.”

The CBS story is one of several news features showcasing Safe-Latch this year. ABC affiliate WISN also aired a segment called “Made in Wisconsin” and included a demonstration of how Safe-Latch works. Another feature, shown on Wisconsin local channel WTMJ, spotlights the cost savings over replacing the 700 Classroom Intruder Locksets in one district’s schools. As the segment shows, purchasing new Classroom Intruder Locksets at $300 apiece would have cost nearly a quarter of a million dollars; deploying Safe-Latch carried a total cost of about $12,000.

The two segments mentioned above can be seen on the Safe-Latch website, athttps://safe-latch.com/news/.
