The KeyTrak Guardian offers law enforcement increased security and peace of mind in knowing assets, such as expensive equipment ranging from satellite phones, global positioning systems, keys or weapons, are secure and accounted for at all times. The Guardian SmartPanel consists of a 15-inch touchscreen monitor and a built-in fingerprint reader where users enter a password. A magnetic card reader and a proximity card reader are available as enhanced security options. After a successful login, the user is given a list of lockers or equipment to select from, and only the selected doors open. The doors lock automatically once closed. Users can be assigned a single locker or a series of lockers, but a user cannot accidentally or intentionally open a locker they are not authorized to use. This allows for total control of assets. As an added security feature, The Guardian can also produce access reports documenting times and durations employees are accessing the lockers and how long the equipment is out. This measure of increased accountability serves as a deterrent against theft, misuse and loss.
