PlaseScan, Inc. reengineered its PlateScan solution into PlateScan++, a more advanced automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) system.

PlateScan started from the beginning and reengineered a new level of ALPR technology, resolving many of the problems that have been a limitation of previous versions. With these changes, the accuracy of PlateScan++ has been dramatically enhanced versus previous versions as well as when compared to competitive systems.

Small, More Powerful Cameras

PlateScan++ not only offers a new level of accuracy, but also a new camera array with small, compact "dual" (IR/color) capability, able to fit in with most of the new popular LED light bars.

Varying plate Styles

As states issue new plates, the accuracy of ALPR systems often suffers. PlateScan++ has reengineered the way ALPR works so that these changes can be quickly incorporated into its system, making it up-to-date within a matter of days rather than weeks or months it used to take.

Stacked Characters

No longer are letters stacked two or three high on a license plate an impediment to an accurate plate read. PlateScan++ reads most stacked characters and reports them to the system's database exactly as registered in the state.

State Recognition

With the development of a new neural network recognition infrastructure, where possible, PlateScan++ will be able to report the state of origin of most license plates.
