PlateSmart Technologies unveiled its groundbreaking next-generation Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) and video analytics solutions at ASIS 2016.
Among the new offerings from PlateSmart will be High-Definition (HD) ALPR capability, which enables the extraction of license plate numbers and video analytic data from a far wider field of view than previously possible. One of the main advantages of this enhancement is the ability to perform ALPR on multiple lanes of traffic or regions of interest with a single camera. PlateSmart already leads the industry in its ability to extract data from video, as its software can recognize license plate numbers, state jurisdiction, vehicle make, and vehicle color, all from a single video feed.
Also making their debut at ASIS 2016 will be PlateSmart’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) versions of both its basic ALPR engine and its award-winning ARES® video analytics platform. These cloud-hosted solutions are easy to deploy and save users money and bandwidth while providing comprehensive ALPR technology for either security or business intelligence needs.
“PlateSmart continues to lead the industry by creating the most innovative ALPR-based solutions available,” said PlateSmart CEO John Chigos. ”I look forward to ASIS every year because it brings together the major industry players from all over the world, and we always have something exciting to show them. I think this year, PlateSmart is going to set the bar even higher."
