HyperSpike® HS-10 Portable Acoustic Hailing Device

The HyperSpike® HS-10 is the latest acoustic hailing device from Ultra Electronics USSI that demonstrates superior portability, voice intelligibility and with a cost effective price that meets the needs of multiple end user applications. With its unique and proprietary HyperSpike® technology, the HS-10 will be the long range communication device of choice for law enforcement personnel, first responders, campus security, and users requiring a reliable, inexpensive and portable long range communication device. The HS-10 is the next generation of the HyperSpike® product family with exciting new features and updates. The HS-10’s key features include low weight, portability, reliability, and long range communication ability at a market disruptive price.

The HS-10 easily penetrates high background noise environments to ensure unmistakable commands and piercing alert tones are heard over long distances. With a Speech Transmission Index (STI) rating to exceed 0.85 out of 1.0, the HS-10 far surpasses traditional megaphones, bullhorns and commercial speakers on the market in both acoustic output and voice clarity. By utilizing the HS-10, the end user can deliver intelligible commands and authoritative messages to uncertain operational situations. Users can hold the device in one hand, and use the HyperSpike™ smartphone app that allows operators full functionality at safe stand-off distance. Operators have the capability to mount the HS-10 on top of a vehicle and fully operate the unit from inside the cabin with the HyperSpike® smartphone app.

Ultra Electronics USSI will offer the HyperSpike® HS-10 in two models: the HS-10(C)ommercial and the HS-10(R)ugged. The HS-10(R)ugged has an extended communication range and higher acoustic volume output for users that require increased performance at longer distances. Weighing only 15 lbs., the HS-10 is lightweight and can easily be transported or hand carried with minimal effort. The HS-10 has a peak acoustic output of 144 dB and a communication range of up to 750+m The units have standard integrated record then play functionality, live voice microphone, built in alert tone button, and an internal rechargeable battery source. The HyperSpike® smartphone app allows end user to operate the alert tone function, play pre-recorded voice messages or select a message from the message file library.
