Puerto Rico Police Officer Killed in Crash

Agent Edwin Pabón Robles died Friday morning after he was ejected from his patrol car after it rolled over.

A Puerto Rico police officer died in a rollover crash that also injured his partner early Friday morning.

Agents Edwin Pabón Robles and José Anes Rodríguez were traveling in their patrol car around 1:30 a.m. when it rolled while exiting from the Teodoro Moscoso Bridge to Román Baldorioty de Castro Expressway. struck a fence, according to El Nueva Dia.

Pabón Robles, 43, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene. Anex was transported to the Medical Center in Río Piedras in serious but stable condition and underwent surgery."

Both agents were assigned to the Division of Highway Patrol in San Juan.

Pabón Robles, a five-year veteran of the force, leaves behind his wife and two children.
