Ohio Sheriff's Deputy Killed in Crash that Injured Another Driver

A Preble County sheriff's deputy died in a crash with at least one other vehicle that caused front-end damage to the deputy's cruiser and injured another driver.

An Ohio deputy was killed in a crash with at least one other vehicle early Sunday.

The fatal incident involving a Preble County sheriff's deputy happened shortly after 4 a.m. along State Route 503, WHIO-TV reports. Details about how the crash occurred have not been released about the crash, but extensive front-end damage to the deputy's cruiser and another vehicle was seen in photos from the scene.

The deputy died in the crash, and another driver was injured. The condition of the driver and the nature of the injuries was not immediately known.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
