It was announced in yesterday's news that the Senate had approved an $838 Billion stimulus package. This got me wondering and I had to share. I have NOT delved deeply into the package to see how many (if any) of these dollars are slotted for law enforcement grants, training, equipment, etc. Allegedly there is a small portion. 838 BILLION (838,000,000,000) seconds is 13,966,666,666.7 minutes 838 BILLION seconds is 232,777,777.8 hours 838 BILLION seconds is 9,699,074.07 Days 838 BILLION seconds is 26,572.81 years SO, if our government can offset this artificially created deficit by one dollar per second, We'll pay it off by the year 28,581. That's approximately 1,329 generations from now. I'd like to "hear" your thoughts about it? Is it necessary? Do you think it will help? What do you think will happen if the government doesn't put more money into the economy? And finally, if there are dollars in their for the law enforcement community, where do you think we need them most?
