Defensive Firearms Training (DFT)

Defensive Firearms Training, founded by Rudy Waldinger, was established with the goal of providing safe, real-world firearms training utilizing handguns, shotguns and rifles/carbines. Rudy Waldinger has used his experience as a combat-tested soldier and as a Foreign Service National for the US State Department to develop a course curriculum suited to the needs of everyday citizens. Our focus is offering the best instruction in an informal but professional environment utilizing smaller class size and flexibility. This allows our instructors to adjust to the skill level and needs of our students.

Defensive Firearms Training is located in the foothills just twenty miles south of Yosemite National Park and is conveniently located 45 miles north of Fresno at the Sun Mountain Gun Club in Coarsegold, California. Our range is minutes away from Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino.

At Defensive Firearms Training, our mission is to provide the general public with real-world defensive firearms training using pistols, shotguns and rifles. Whether you are a novice or experienced in the use of a firearm in a defensive situation, DFT will help you increase your skill level.
