A Minnesota trooper was injured Saturday when his cruiser was rear-ended while at a traffic stop in Minneapolis, according to The Star Tribune.
The unidentified trooper was making a traffic stop on Southbound I-95 at 49th Avenue North at approximately 8 p.m. when he was rear-ended by a van, Lt. Eric Roeske told the newspaper.
He was transported to a local hospital and has since been released. It is not clear when he will return to work.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and Roeske said it appears the driver may have had a medical situation.
