Tulsa County sheriff's deputies on Wednesday arrested a woman accused of making dozens of calls to Tulsa's Emergency Communications Center within an eight-hour period in November.
Regina K. Sanders, 46, was charged Feb. 15 with single misdemeanor counts of placing an obscene, threatening or harassing phone call and interference with an emergency call, court filings show.
Prosecutors allege Sanders made 59 calls to 911 dispatchers on Nov. 16. On one occasion, she's accused of telling a dispatcher "it's my job to harass you (expletive deleted)."
Two other pending cases against her allege Sanders placed an obscene, threatening or harassing phone call to a Tulsa police officer in April and violated a protective order filed by making phone calls to her brother in June.
Sanders is being held at the Tulsa Jail in lieu of $45,000 bond.
She was charged with two counts of violating a protective order on in July 2001. The case was later dismissed.
Court records show the name Regina K. Sanders listed as a plaintiff in 16 protective order filings during the year 2000 and as a defendant in three protective order petitions filed that year.
Charges of violating the compulsory education act in 2008 and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a felony, in 2010 filed against Sanders have also been previously dismissed.
