Marine For Life Program

The Marine For Life program helps Marines when they leave active duty and return to civilian life. We help them find jobs, use their benefits, continue their education and get settled in the community.

This is Gunnery Sergeant Arias. I am one of the Hometown Links for the Marine For Life program. I'm here to serve transitioning Marines and Sailors throughout the Metro New York Area including Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, and Brooklyn as well as Long Island and Westchester County.

The Marine For Life program helps Marines when they leave active duty and return to civilian life. We help them find jobs, use their benefits, continue their education and get settled in the community.

My job as a hometown link is to bring employers, service providers and mentors to the network so that Marines worldwide can access their information on the Internet. I also provide direct assistance to Marines coming to this area.

We're looking for employers that are interested in hiring Marines. They can post company information and multiple job openings for free on our website. They can also review resumes posted by Marines who are close to leaving the service.

It's really a win-win situation for employers. They have an opportunity to show their support for the Marine Corps and they attract quality job candidates to their organization.

We're also looking for Marine veterans to sign up as mentors so that other Marines can benefit from their experience. Leaving active duty can be a real shock for Marines who are used to having the support of their fellow Marines.

Marine For Life provides that same kind of support in the civilian world. Once a Marine, Always a Marine isn't a slogan - it's a reality.
