Laser Technology, Inc. and Collision Reconstructionist to Co-host Crash Scene Mapping Webcast
May, 22, 2013 - Laser Technology, Inc. (LTI), a Colorado designer and manufacturer of laser speed devices and crash scene mapping tools, and Mike Allard, the Northampton Police Highway Safety Officer and Sr. Collision Reconstructionist, are teaming up to co-host a Crash Scene Mapping Tools and Techniques Webcast May 29th at 10 am (MST).
Webcast attendees will be able to hear first-hand how a Collision Reconstructionist with over 1000 hours of specialized training utilizes the latest in crash scene mapping technology. Using LTI’s TruSpeed® Sx, a dual speed and mapping laser and integrating it with a TruAngle®, Mike Allard and his team are saving time collecting field data and transferring it all back at the office to rapidly recreate the scene on desktop software. The major advantage of LTI equipment is having the ability to set it up quickly and acquire distance, degree of inclination and horizontal angle to anything seen around the scene and or to a prism pole. This allows a lot of extra flexibility when time is of the essence trying to clear the scene.
The 45-minute webcast will cover the basics of crash scene mapping techniques and how affordable complete mapping packages have become. Not only has LTI recently released a new low cost, yet highly accurate dual speed and mapping laser, but they have added a more affordable data collector that runs the QuickMap® 3D field software. Mike Allard, also a Northeast Master LTI Instructor, will be sharing his expertise and offering helpful tips that can make all the difference when collecting points at a crash scene. He will also be available for questions immediately following the online presentation.
Webcast registrants will automatically be entered to win an LTI Limited Edition 25yr Anniversary Laser Rangefinder. Live attendees will also have a chance to win the $500 LTI credit towards a mapping system!
