The Attack

After event investigation revealed that Paddock use da hammer to break out the windows of his suite that overlooked the Harvest Festival venue some 450 to 500 meters away. Paddock was armed with 23 rifles, 22 of them semi-automatic and one handgun. It’s reported that 14 of the rifles were chambered for .223 with the rest chambering .308. The one rifle he had that wasn’t semi-automatic was a bolt action .308.

The Harvest Festival location is a 15 acre venue which is largely concreted and enclosed by a fence. That fence hindered many of the people trying to escape. Others had no issue with it.
